JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The NJAR is committed to building racquetball programs in every aspect of the game. One of the most important areas is Juniors.  Here are some of the things that the NJAR has going on with regards to Juniors.

JUNIOR CLASSES/CLINICIANS

NJAR RACQUETBALL SUMMER CAMP

Each and every summer, the NJAR will host a summer camp for Juniors to get some training on the game of racquetball.  The campers will get the chance to spend time on the court with top area NJ players and clinicians to work on the most important aspects of the game.  Forehand, backhand, court positioning, mental toughness, and many other aspects of the game will be covered throughout the camp.  Stay tuned to the site and our events schedule for dates and entry information.

JUNIOR SHOOTOUTS

The Club at Woodbridge holds various shootout style tournaments throughout the year at their facility. These tournaments are run by NJAR Junior Director Rick Folger, and are a laid back atmosphere for the kids to compete against each other.  These tournaments are designed to get the Juniors excited about what they are learning in their classes, and to grow as a racquetball player.

NJAR JUNIOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

At the end of every summer/beginning of the fall, the NJAR will hold its annual Junior State Championships. This will be the marquis event for Junior racquetball in the state.  This event will be what all the shootouts, classes, and camps lead up to.  Juniors will become members of the USAR, and earn points towards their national junior ranking.
